Lost your RC book?? Know how to apply for a duplicate one in Kerala

Here We go!

1. Hope you have a copy of RC book atleast with you. Get some more copies for safer side.

2. Reach out a news paper news/Ad collection center to give the Lost RC advertisement.

          a. Remember that if you go for the popular newspapers they will charge you more than 1500 INR          b. Better contact a less popular (but NOT an evening daily) agent and it will cost you around 350-500 bucks only.
          c. Quote your vehicle number and vehicle type. The advertisement content will be available with the news agent.

3. Get 2 Copies of the news paper with your Advertisement published and get the photostat/Xerox copies of the same

4. Reach the Police station near the place where your RC was lost (Or reach your local police station and tell them the RC was lost in mid of a travel, if you are not sure where you lost the RC) and lodge a complaint for the Lost RC and show them the copy of Advertisement that you have given in the newspaper.

  Note: Police may ask you few things so that they can make sure yours is a genuine case.

5 . Get the complaint receipt/acknowledgment from POLICE. Take a copy of the same.
6 . If You have a Vehicle Loan EMI pending, Get the NOC from the financing organization/Bank
7 . Now Wait for 15 more days, so that RTO officer can accept your complaint.

Now 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10..11..12..13...14........15 Days have gone so fast!!

Get the following papers and head to the corresponding RTO office where your RC was provided.
Important ******* Application in RTO will be accepted only between 10 AM - 1 PM, So go fast!****
1. The News paper Ad
 2. Copy of RC book
 3. Copy and original of Police Complaint
 4. Original And Copy of the NOC from your financing organization
 5. A duplicate application fee of 250 -300 Rs
 6. The application form which will be available at the RTO

 Lodge the duplicate RC application with all these supporting documents and get the receipt. DONE!! Wait for a week or two.Your RC will be sent to your address!
